Canada

Tomorrow marks my third marathon in 15 days.  Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.  It's a little windy here!  Ron Knecht and I stopped and talked to Bart Yasso and Katerine Switzer at the expo and discussed all the great marathons we have run or need to run.  Katherine recommended Aukland, NZ since she lives there 6 months of the year.  Bart has done so many, but he suggested getting Antarctica out of the way on the continent quest.  Well, Antarctica is on my list for March 2009.  And I may slip in Isle of Man off the coast of Britian in August 2008 and Beijing in October 2008.  Yes 2008.  The quest is on!

Last Satruday was Nisene Marks Marathon in Aptos, CA 2500' of elevation gain, then turn around and run back down.  I won a pair of Tevas and was the only person outside Californian in the race.  69 people finished.

The Saturday before that was Sunburst Marathon in South Bend, IN.  It lived up to it's name and was a hot, hot, hot Saturday.  It finished in the Notre Dame football stadium.  A friend of mine (Steve Boone) was alongside me as we exited the tunnel to enter the field.  And then it was a race.  We sprinted the last 100 yards for a photo finish.

Texan Marathoner

In my last 2 marathons, Winnipeg, MB and Aptos, CA, I was the first Texan to finish.  I beat every other Texan that competed in these incredibly difficult and competitive marathons.

I was also the last Texan since I was the only one.  Part of winning is showing up.

Marathon Maniac

Kevin,

I don't know how you do it!!  I can barely walk for a week after a marathon and you run 3 in 2 weeks.

 Unbelievable!!

Texas Marathoner (Maniac)...

Kevin-

Congratulations on completing such an incredible feat of 3 marathons in such a short period of time.  We can't wait to see photos and hear the details of your races.

Great job - you are an inspiration to all of us!
